I pinned some cloud cushions a while ago on pinterest thinking they looked like a funky new pillow to add to my pile. However it has been freezing here over the last month so I made one of my cloud pillows extra long to act as a draft stop as well. A very funky draft stop if I do say so myself ( and I do!).
Once it warms up again it can also act as a door stop or go back to being a throw pillow.
Cloud pillows are pretty easy to make, its just a matter of finding or drawing a cloud template, then cutting your fabric and sewing it right sides faces leaving a gap to turn it back through. I used heavier furnishing fabric on one side and cotton on the other.
To make it long enough to stop the draft under your door measure your door length first then make your template.

What a great idea! Love this instead of door snakes... and good way to get a crafty fix and be pratical at the same time :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, it's so cold, we also used to have a dachshund snake which was quite cute, till the dog ate it, will keep this one away from dog!
